Alien Rescue gets classified in a lot of different ways, depending on who's defining it. To some, we do live immersive theater in VR. Others describe us as a VR LARP. Some consider us a multi-player game. Some say we're like a live one-shot VR based D&D campaign. I think we're all of the above, which is why I invented the term "MetaMovie", nothing else quite worked for me. In this panel talk though, I'm with VR game developers and we're talking about how the metaverse is affecting the industry. Since Alien Rescue not only takes place in the metaverse, but was actually created inside it, AIXR asked me to participate. We had a great exchange of ideas and debates, and we could all agree on one thing: the metaverse is here (albeit in nascent form) and VR game development is already adapting to the new landscape.
