Teaching in the Metaverse: Chapter 2.4. Introduction to the Metaverse.

There is a lot of buzz around this word lately, but the concept of the Metaverse has been around for a while. The term metaverse was coined in Neal Stephenson’s 1992 science fiction novel SnowCrash, where humans, as avatars, interact with each other in a three dimensional virtual space that uses the metaphor of the real world.
